Kirloskar Brothers Limited's WaSH Project is aligned with Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs) resolved in the UN Summit meet held on 25-27 September 2015, in which India was represented.
About 50% of the developing world's population - almost 3 billion people - lack good sanitation facilities and over 900 million people still use unsafe drinking water. WASH supports the national and state governments in developing and implementing a range of replicable intervention models for sanitation, hygiene and water supply.
In accordance with the concern of Late Shri Shantanurao Kirloskar towards improving conditions of cleanliness and discipline locally and his zeal to make a difference, we introduced the correct way to wash hands with soap in numerous schools. This was a joint initiative with the UNICEF WASH program.
